Why I Donate: When I first began to donate blood, I believed a life was saved every time I donated. When it was necessary to have blood replaced when a pint was used, I donated to help ones who needed to replace blood used. Now when I donate, it is so that it will help to maintain a supply of blood when needed by others. In the past 9 months my wife has had two surgeries which overall required 6 pints of blood.
