Why I Donate: Laborare est Orare - to labor is to pray. More than our daily employment, our real work as human beings is to me, the duty and responsibility we have to work for a better community, to offer up ourselves, to share our good fortune with those in need. How better to accomplish this prayer than to share that precious and intimate gift of life. Besides the warm feeling derived from donating, I get to laugh with my extended family - the great staff and volunteers at the Olympia Center - and enjoy free cookies and Starbucks coffee!
