Why I Donate: I had always given whole blood, then learned that my platelets could help children with leukemia, anemia and other diseases. I also have a lot of platelets, so always give a double product. On a few occasions, I was a match for a fetus and then donated again when the baby was born. It is a wonderful feeling to be able to help save the life of a complete stranger.
