The Southwest Washington Blood Program, a division of Puget Sound Blood Center, is able to maintain a stable blood supply to the area hospitals only because of the generosity of our donors and volunteers. Although we supply nearly all the blood used by hospitals in Clark and Cowlitz Counties, in 2003 only about 18% of the blood came from local donations. We are working diligently to increase awareness in Southwest Washington of the need to donate to the Southwest Washington Blood Program.
