December 27, 2007 SEATTLE — What better way to send off 2007 or ring in the New Year than to help others? When deciding your New Year’s resolutions, don’t forget to include the simple and generous act of giving blood. And you can act on this new resolution now.
The holiday season is traditionally a time of year during which blood supplies are lower than usual. With many of us spending time with family and friends or traveling it is often difficult to make the time to donate blood. But the need for blood remains constant. It is only with the generosity of our donors that we have blood available to answer every need.
All eleven of Puget Sound Blood Center’s donor centers in Western Washington, including the Southwest Washington Blood Program’s Vancouver Donor Center, are open normal hours this week. On Monday, New Year’s Eve, December 31st, all eleven Blood Center donor centers will be open special hours, 8:00am to 4:00pm. These special hours include four of our donor centers normally closed on Mondays, Bellingham, Everett, Silverdale and Vancouver, Washington.
Please visit the Blood Program’s Web site at www.swblood.org or call 1-800-398-7888 to find the closest blood drive to you or visit the Vancouver Donor Center:
